The Challenges of Parenting a Middle Child
As the middle child they face some of their own challenges. They feel upset about losing their role as a baby, often feel left out and jealous both by their older and younger siblings because they're commanding so much attention. A secondborn is always rushing to catch up to the firstborn developmentally in order to feel that they are valuable. And so unfortunately they lack the understanding that the problem has to do with their age difference and their development.
