World War II - The Red Army vs the Red Army

The war on the eastern front in 19 forty five kind of reminds me of the scene in jurassic park where the massive t wrex jumps in at the end to save doctor graham and the kids from the rapters. The amer broke germany's back, but it would be russia who tore out its heart. I mean, no army conducts itself perfectly in war time, but americans can generally look back on our efforts war firmly perched on the moral high ground. Now, i'm going to put a herotiamasized asterisk on that one, but that is a debate for a different episode.
