Paul Bragg was born in 1881 to farmers in Virginia. He talks a lot about growing up on a farm and how that sort of formed his relationship to food. When he was 16, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis. As he was sent to a sanitarium where he was treated by a Swiss nurse who recommended a Swiss doctor,. Bragg went to see that doctor who treated him with natural foods and exercise.
