Can We Have Space Weather?

Space weather mostly refers to what the sun is doing, because it generates a solar wind. What we're talking about today is actually something quite different. Is not the product of solar weather, but actually something as happening in the very, very upper atmosphere of earth. So i ace any more like near space weather, almost space weather.
