The Recency Bias in the NBA
There is this incredible recency bias that comes in when you think about the crucible of the playoffs. We don't evaluate whether a player is good or not by their five or six most recent games we have a much larger sample that we can work with. Even clay tomsen had a rough start to his defense as he came back from the cicillis injury and he was getting torched in the Memphis series. kavon looney is easily one of the best defense center in the nba and one of thebest rebounding centers in the nBA as well.
