Occupy was an open ended, short lived movement that allowed for everyone to come together. The lefts politics were incoate at the time and it seemed to be expecting something of occupy that occupy just couldn't deliver. It respected people's autonomy but also revelled in its weakness. And i think now the left is, you know, open to sort of organizing on all fronts. We have to figure out how to engage an electrocal terrain and unions and labor organizing and debt and housing justice.
