Christine Lagarde on the ECB's Inflation Picture

Christine Lagarde spoke at the ECB and its watchers conference in Frankfurt. The euro area has been hit by an inflation shock, which is now working its way through the economy. While headline inflation is likely to decline steeply this year, underlying inflation dynamics remain strong. Our view is that the banking crisis isn't yet severe enough to take rate hikes off the table.
