Assisted Living Facilities - What Are They?
Assisted living facilities are what we traditionally think of as senior community living. These facilities have someone on sight 24 hours a day, but the level of care really varies depending on the patient's level of in endence. Usually our patients will not get discharged directly from the hospital straight to a brand new assisted living facility. It requires a lot of paper work and leg work, mostly on the family and pc p side of things.
