The Discovery of Kannosos
Kannosos is on the island of Crete, and it's about five kilometres south of Arachlian. It was discovered by Menos Cala Caronos who decided to excavate at Kannosos in 1878. He found this obviously very old building, lots of twisting corridors which people immediately associated with the labyrinth of myth. And he adopted a name for this new Bronze Age of Civilization of the Minowans named after King Minos. But we don't really know if there was a king and even whether it was a palace.
