Did You Export the Calves to Beef?
I worked on what was known as a barley beef farm where young bull calves or sturks maybe were brought into a big building. They were fed barley all the time, which fattened them quick. The poo and the wheeze got to fall through into a big pit underneath. There were no bedding because you can't have bedding on a slatted floor. Some animals do better without bedding as long as they cleaned out all the time. But because they've got a warm sort of floor, the body eat worms a floor - so many died there.
