The Sensory Motor Story Is Not Going to Get Us All the Way to the Cognitive Story

David Frum: What makes us human is the fact that we've been embedded in larger cognitive structures than we are. He says curiosity in a rodent is almost an inherited three-evolution algorithm, because it's useful to have learning on top of innate behaviors. Frum: The world is amenable to science and can actually be understood by working out what's happening there.
