Ananias with Sephira and his wife sold a possession just like so many of their newly converted Christian neighbors had but notice what they did they kept back part of the price now his wife also being privy to it. Peter is hinting at agency is being honored the whole way through you didn't have to sell your land and when you did youdidn't have to give us the money consecration is completely voluntary we're not demanding this of youso it was all in your hand it wasall in your power.
