A Sense of Directionality, Ike?
i was really fascinated with it. And i had some problems then with, ok, he introduced stage theories ito his thinking. Those were fairly crude, right? He looked at a lot of ones, and then he proposed to somes some ones that were fairly crude but intuitively interesting. When i started applying that view of things, so many things fell into place, i could see. Aha, so society has people functioning at different cognitive stages, and they experience the same social phenomena very, very, very differently. So i felt there's a sense of directionality, ike. Thereis a pattern of patterns, and there's the pattern to tho ta pattern of patterns.
