The Importance of Iron in Dialysis
I never saw such a dramatic clinical response. This guy's life was changed overnight. He was losing his teeth because he couldn't stop eating ice and he couldn't sleep at night. And we gave him a calculated dose of about two grams over 12 hours. Wow. How did it know if it was infaront in infaronts no longer available? It went off the market in 1991. But it was a decent iron. And you read about iron dextran. And you think you're subjecting somebody to highly lethal therapy. I didn't link the two. We didn't know back then. So I really didn't belong in the lab. And I became very interested
