At four degrees celsius of warming, the clouds broke up resulting in an additional eight degrees warming. That would be comparable with what was seen during the greatest mass extinction 250 million years ago. colin cautions that this is just a simplified computer simulation, but could it happen in real life if we failed to keep global warming below four degrees? So i what i would say is that it can't be ruled out. I mean, it would be very, very bad, a very bad thing. It's one that could save us from falling into that climate abyss. And it could be triggered by, of all things, a war.
