Hemingway's 'Briar'
At the end of his life, he he was reordering and kind of reworking what would become a moveable feast. But I believe he had written a great deal of it. An early story survived the loss because Gertrude Stein had told him it was unprintable in part because of a seduction scene. Hemingway went with Hadley to Montreaux to ski and apparently did not post a reward for the recovery of the Valise. It's a thing in Hemingway's family. There you go. 100%.
