The EU Framework for FDI Regulation
The EU framework that came into effect in October of this year and it basically establishes procedures for member states and the commission to react really quickly to FDI concerns both within member states and within the EU as a whole. Right now there's 15 different review systems for example they're changing on a fairly regular basis so that kind of coordination is important what it does do. The big step change that comes with the EU framework is that it allows for intervention to be made on the grounds of EU wide security opposed to the national security of an individual country.
