Relationships Are a Petemkin Village

Every relationship is a petemkin village. You put on your best front, and then the person gets to see behind that. The red flags for abuse are when they try to isolate you from your support network. If every time something important is coming up in your life, they suddenly start having a crisis torr melt down. Do they not have any friends their own age or contemporaries who can tolerate them? I know a lot of people who are abusive can't keep witnesses aral. But there's power all over relationships. One person can make more money. There's power to youth and beauty. And we need to look at everyone they've dated between 18 and 20 too.
