How to Calculate Your VO2 Max

There are plenty of high level endurance athletes out there who don't have exceptionally high VO2 maxes, but they've developed their other capacities to the nth degree and they perform really well. If you're training for the majority of athletes, if you're getting fitter and you're seeing that outcome in your power numbers, likely your VO2 is also going up like that. But in the end, if you have power to show that and then powers, which you can guide every interval by, like Hannah said, that's much more relevant to a cyclist.
