The History of Philosophy and Smell
There's not much within philosophy about smell, but there was a great time where smells were talked about. Plato has this claim that really the all-century qualities of smell don't really have qualities. Aristotle wasn't clear on whether or not smell should be considered to be a distal sense or a proximal sense. Indian and Japanese traditions at least 2,000 years old are rich in ideas about smell.
