What's Happening in the 70s?

In the 1970s, computers were mostly text. In 1978, computer architecture changed from these long words for high accuracy mathematical calculations to single characters so they could do characters. AT&T Bell Labs was building everything in 19, you know, 1960s, 70s called B. And there's a language that comes before C called B. The difference between B and C is B is a word oriented language that looks like C and C is a character oriented language that look like C.
