Is Job the Oldest Text of the Old Testament?
Job is considered to be one of the oldest texts, if not the oldest text of the Old Testament. There doesn't seem to be a priesthood of any kind because Job's like doing his own sacrifices and shit for his house. The setting of the narrative could be much older than much of the events in the Hebrew Bible will also being written much later. So that doesn't tell you a whole lot about when it was written.
