Old Lafe could be here to warn us about an asteroid headed for the diner, but the important thing is young Lafe's personal space. If an asteroid was going to destroy the diner, old Lafe wouldn't be alive to warn us. I'm not going back in time to stop anything other than impending doom. Ask Effie. She thinks the devil is sitting at Table 12. He would be if he was successful in warning us,. which at this point he doesn't seem to be. But... the very presence of old Lafe would mean that he was only one to survive the asteroid strike that may or may not happen. Can you handle the time travel please? Okay.
