There's a lot of loyalty in this book and we've kind of been hitting on that. And so this guy is supposed to be loyal based on conditioning that's unbreakable. And here it's broken that sets off this whole story, really. So any loyalty that's based on fear, love, duty, it's all up for grabs. Like anybody could go at any moment. It's interesting like subtle levels there of that battle between the Baron and his own people. There's a funny thing in there too, which is like when they're trying to get rid of Paul and Jessica, they don't just kill them. They like fly them out to the desert to leave them
