The Basics of Analog Imaging

An analog camera works by projecting a light image onto some photosensitized medium. Analog methods rely on chemical properties of certain substances, at least usually. The first photographs used an asphalt that was slightly light-sensitive. A better method was to use silver chloride or some other silver halide chemical.
