Open telemetry is a standard that gets adopted by almost everybody in no time. The fact that it became a standard, the fact that there aren't dozens of different vendors doing essentially the same kind of work saves developers' time. Sometimes you're actually seeing people getting first understanding of other system behavior. That's really exciting for me personally.
