George eastman invented the kodak roll of film in 18 78. His invention was also the basis for motion picture film, helping set the standards for 35 millimeter. By 19 19, george eastman was worth 30 million dollars and retired a few years later. It accompanied sir edmund hilary to the top of mount everest. Abraham zapruter filmed the kennedy assassination with it. Just about every birthday, wedding and backyard barbecue in recorded history has been immortalized with it.
