James Gleick: Time Travel
Long Now
The Paradox of Time Travel
Even without time travel we managed to create alter egos and split personalities. Each of the Bobs in this story had felt themselves to be the one and only integrated continuous being named Bob but they're forced to confront the possibility that this is an illusion. Heinlein also finds himself confronting the issue of free will and determinism he can't help it. We're still trying to learn what time is which by the way I intend to explain in a minute.
