Face recognition works less well in low light and all sorts of issues around that. It's also less effective across different demographics, so not just city or racenicity, but also gender. How do you aline human rights and a surveillance strategy? We often think about things like security as being oppositional to human rights. So there's often this framing of liberty versus security, which self and my colleagues would find quite unhelpfur.
