The Future of Value Investing
If we are willing to pay anything for those future cash flows, then usually that has led to not such good results in the long term. Some of the things that we are seeing currently in the markets are frothy and eventually we will find out who's been swimming naked when the tide goes out. But I'll just give you an example. In early 2000, I visited Microsoft headquarters in Redmond. One of my early investors was very early employee at Microsoft and well at prison. He said he could probably introduce you to some current and former Microsoft employees who might have an interest in your fund.
