The Importance of God's Nearness
David accuses God of forgetting him in Psalm 13. David longs for the opportunity to feel God's nearness and seek his counsel. He prays an interesting prayer in verse 9: Destroy, O Lord, divide their tongues. In addition to wanting the nearness of God again, David wants the wicked to be punished.
