If energy ceases to be cheap, as you say, lots of people are going to have a lot of problems. But there might be a recovery of a realism. The modes of farming in Tudor, England are much less energy intensive than running petroleum-fueled machines. So my worry is, I mentioned in this to the seminar last night, my work, you know, after we were done, my worry is they figure out fusion. And now you have a personal attack drone that follows you around to make sure that you comply with social norms. If they had enough energy to do it, would they do it? Yeah, of course it would.
