In 29 b c, octavian continued to serve as consul. He ordered that antony's name be literally purged from the histor books. The dihard anti caesarians were killed or exiled but the rest of his former enemies were folded into new regime. Octavian was making it clear that there is no markanony, there never was a markantony and that we have always been at war with east asia.
