The Washing Machine Age

We tend archaeology has got this bias towards what survives. We don't call a certain era, the washing machine age, or the kno kitchen advancement age. I think we need to change our perception of what the dominant technology is and how we think about technological change. It's based on a complete conflation of information processing with consciousness. They're not the same thing.
