Athens and the 30 Regime

Back in athens, many were appalled and frightened by the actions of the 30. They confiscated many of their farms and took over possession of their estates. This created a dangerous body of exiles. The spartans sent out an order saying that no state should give any home to these exiles,. And if they witnessed an athenian exile being led off and didn't give them help, they themselves would be subjected to a heavy fine. Unknowingly, fulfilling his vision, timandra took up his dead body, covered and wrapped him in her own garments and gave him an honourable burial.
