Since childhood, I've been very interested in science. In my teens, I discovered the importance of the humanities. And so I spent most of my time until the end of my 20s immersed in history, literature, and philosophy. So it was a huge jump. The reactions of my fellow students were amazing, because they were 10 years younger than me. They were like, Oh, so brave of you to do this, you know, like with one foot in the grave. It actually is very helpful to have done something else before doing medicine.
