Is This the First Time That We've Had Soldiers From the Punjab Made Available?
This is the first time that we've been able to make records like this available to large numbers of people. The project thus far has been largely focused on assembling, organizing, cleansing and now making public all of the data. It's so incredibly important to understand that heritage and link but this is also a kind of ground breaking academic project as well. We get to learn a lot about the recruitment, the enlisting, the service of the indian army during this period.
