How to Attend an Online Conference
Don't just chat only, but make those connections and connect with them in places that go beyond just the two or three days of the conference. Don't forget to get other people's contact information. Ask them what their Twitter handle is. Connect with them and carry on that friendship after the fact because you're exactly right. You just never know where these relationships could go. They could turn into two years from now that you are suddenly looking for a job.
