The Weather Bakes Me, You Mean?

Bake means to cook something in an oven, like a cake. But we also use bake to talk about very hot weather. We normally use the cooking words in the ian g form to make an adjective. Not every cooking word can be used to describe hot weather. And that's important, because roasting and baking are strong adjectives.
