Being an Internet Personality, Is That Right?

Being an internet personality is kind of unexplained. It's this combination of luck and being in the right place at the right time, and maybe a little bit of talent. And when something is based off of no talent, like being an influencer, for example, that can go away so quickly. I don't think that it's something that necessarily deserves all the acolades that it has. Being self employed, as an influencers, if you will, i hate that word. Is that even grammatically correct?
