The Importance of Cross-Cultural Variation in State Models
We need to develop new benchmarks for the reliability and validity assessment of those measures we probably cannot apply the same standards that we have for trait measures to the state measures. I think one way to do this is to collect data as we do it and then share the data openly because there are other people who don't want to collect data but they're very good methodologically and they could use the data so maybe this is a call to just publish your data even if you're not sure whether they are good or not. Over the long run we can do then integrative studies meta-analysis and so on and figure out which states worked and which didn't work or assessments worked and didn't work now
