The Importance of Being One With Your Father
In John chapter 10 verse 22 Jesus is at the temple and they ask him tell us if you be the Christ. He says in verse 25 I told you and you believe not the works that I do in my father's name. Because he makes this statement they pick up stones to stone him. One of the ways to read this is that Jesus is basically saying that he is one with his father. There are many ways to read Psalm 82 but from God's perspective we are Elohim but we are also mortal.
