Transhumanism is a philosophical and cultural movement saying that humans can overcome their biological limitations through science and technology. In part one, i'll discuss some background issues onlintroduce transhumanism, noote technology and certain age old philosophical questions. Second, in part two, i'll talk about what i call design seilings on human brain enhancement. These involve the nature of consciousness and the nature of personhood. Finally, i'll conclude by discussing some big picture issues involving our place in the cosmos and the road ahead.
