Was There Really Any Scientific Evidence for Homosexuality?

For so many years psychology and psychiatry viewed homosexuality as a mental illness. Was there really any actual scientific evidence for such thinking? That's a really good question. I men, what counted as scientific evidence then is not theis not the same thing. So i think what happened, to be charitable to that, is that they were self fulfilling prophecies. People who were ky or lesbia and people who were queer might reach out to a mental health professional for help. They might present as wanting this aspect of themselves to go away, because that was how they could imagine living a better life. But i think evidence that people brought to bear, to challenge that consensus, is really quite interesting
