The three studies where training with bands worked are probably a pretty good starting point. In all three of those studies, the amount of band tension used was equal to about 30 to 40% of one RM. So for example, like if you're one rep max squat is 100 kilos, and a workout would typically involve squatting with 80 kilos for sets of five, you could instead do 60 kilos with 40 kilos of band tension or 65 kilos with 30 kilo of band tension. But that should help match your the resistance curve of the exercise with your strength curve a little bit better by again, subbing out about 30 to40% one rep max amount of resistance with
