The Pessimistic View of Moses

In chapter 31 of the Bible, Moses is told by God that his people are going to break the covenant and worship other gods. Aaron Carroll: The book seems like why does the book have such a pessimistic outlook? He says in verse 29 he expresses some of that frustration himself with how stubborn they were. Carroll: As soon as this generation is gone, they went off track. To this day, he's talking here about the previous generation. They didn't get it.
