The Importance of Humiliation

LZ Granderson: Leviticus 1822 is about power dynamics, shame and the treatment of others. He says in a patriarchal society, the best way that you can shame a man is to treat him sexually like a woman. LZ: We need to focus on what does the text say and what does it teach us? And I think if you really look at how this text is being played out in our modern world, those are the ways that these issues are playing out.
