Is the Setup Wizard Impenetrable?

Apple's new operating system is impenetrable. The set up process asks a lot of the user in a way that i don't, it doesn't make clear that the pay off is worth what it's asking. I think apple has gone around removing customisation from their software. And they're now trying to get customized three out of every ten points on my computer. They want you to create all these fine gradations. That is the opposite of what apple wants you to do. It kind of reminds me of, did you us ever play mass effect? Like battis a big dramatic pan and your character looks like a potato.
