adam gatacho: We should remember that like the removal of statues has always part of political protest and political mobilization. American revolutionaries took down statutes during the american revolution. In a moment in which i think people are trying to wrestle with history and the presence of history everywhere, this is a sight in which to make the case there are other histories to be told.
