What Was Your Dad's Influence on You?
Jackie Robinson was a good friend of Jack's and they traveled with each other. Jackie wrote something to the effect that an incident in Compton was a lot of noise about nothing. Did your dad explain? No, he didn't. And so these guys were tough. My older brother, Dan came out of BYU, went to camp, was drafted by the Lions. He never went beyond just the pregame stuff where the younglings got to play in the preseason stuff. It got a little tough. So he came home and then his son Andy played here for the Cardinals for a little while. I think up for the Buffalo Bills a bit, you know, nothing big.
